A rare treat! Interviewed by my illustrator’s children…

November 3, 2009 Uncategorized No Comments

My conversation with Aaron Zenz’s three children was a rare treat! Not only did I learn more about the talent behind the illustrations in Nugget on the Flight Deck, but the kids gave me a behind-the-scenes peek into their Dad’s illustration process. Check out their Bookie Woogie blog — it reads like a one-act play because there were 5 of us on the line at once. Isaac, Gracie and Lily also provide fabulous illustrations–a portrait of me and their impressions of scenes in the book. Don’t miss Lily’s last drawing–a play on the jargon in Nugget. Very sophisticated for a six-year-old! Also, posted–dueling book trailers–one with Isaac’s voice and one with Gracie’s.

Special Bonus! Share a comment on Bookie Woogie and you will automatically be entered in a random drawing to win a copy of Nugget on the Flight Deck signed by BOTH author and illustrator!
