Do you have a child interested in public health? Perhaps he or she reads books such as Ebola: Fears and Facts, or avidly follows the Zika virus and the aftermath of the Ebola epidemic. A few medical schools and the CDC have expanded the idea of summer camp to feed these kids’ curiosity. At the CDC, rising high school seniors become Disease Detectives. And the town of Tewksbury, Massachusetts runs a free Outbreak camp for high school sophomores and juniors.
